Introduction REX BUILDER LMITED operates an online marketplace (Called REXBUILDERSHOP) connecting buyers of construction and building materials with independent third-party vendors, supported by our delivery network. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to everyone who accesses or uses our website, mobile applications and services (the "Platform"), including buyers, vendors, delivery agents, affiliates and trade-account holders (each a "User"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to this AUP. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. 2. Who this applies to • Buyers — individuals and businesses purchasing materials. • Vendors — independent third-party sellers listing and fulfilling products. • Delivery Agents (Riders) — parties who collect and deliver orders. • Affiliates — parties who promote the Platform for a commission. • Trade / Business Accounts — organisations transacting under approved credit or bulk terms. 3. General rules for all Users You agree that you will not: 1. Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, or in breach of any applicable Nigerian law or regulation. 2. Provide false, misleading, or impersonated information when registering or transacting, or use another person's identity, payment instrument, or account without authorisation. 3. Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, access controls, rate limits, or authentication. 4. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform without our written permission. 5. Introduce malware, or use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access, harvest, or overload the Platform. 6. Interfere with the proper operation of the Platform, including denial-of-service activity or excessive request volumes. 7. Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other Users or our staff, or post unlawful, obscene, or hateful content. 8. Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person. 9. Use the Platform to distribute spam or unsolicited communications. 4. Prohibited and restricted products Vendors may list only lawful goods they are entitled to sell. The following are prohibited: 1. Counterfeit, imitation, or falsely branded materials, or goods that infringe a third party's trademark or intellectual property. 2. Substandard, expired, recalled, or unsafe building materials, or materials misrepresented as to grade, specification, quantity, or origin. 3. Goods that do not meet applicable Nigerian standards or mandatory certification requirements (e.g. Standards Organisation of Nigeria / SONCAP where applicable). 4. Stolen, smuggled, or illegally sourced goods. 5. Hazardous, explosive, radioactive, or restricted materials whose sale requires a licence the vendor does not hold. 6. Weapons, ammunition, controlled substances, or any item whose sale is restricted or prohibited by law. 7. Any product outside the intended scope of the marketplace, or that we reasonably determine poses a safety, legal, or reputational risk. We may remove any listing and require vendors to substantiate the authenticity, standard, or safety of any product. 5. Vendor obligations In addition to the general rules, vendors must: 1. Provide accurate business, contact, location, and settlement (bank) information, and keep it current; and complete our onboarding and verification before selling. 2. List products with accurate descriptions, images, pricing, specifications, quantities, weights, and stock availability. 3. Sell only genuine goods they are legally entitled to supply, and honour the price and terms displayed at the time of order. 4. Fulfil accepted orders promptly and make goods available for collection/delivery as represented. 5. Comply with our returns and refunds processes and cooperate in resolving disputes. 6. Not attempt to divert transactions off-Platform, solicit direct payment outside the Platform, or otherwise circumvent our order and escrow process. 7. Not manipulate ratings, reviews, search ranking, or pricing through deceptive means. 8. Comply with all applicable tax, licensing, consumer-protection, and product-standard obligations. 6. Delivery Agent (Rider) obligations Delivery agents must handle goods with care, deliver only to the correct recipient, verify delivery using the delivery-confirmation code where required, not tamper with or misappropriate goods, and comply with applicable traffic and safety laws. 7. Buyer obligations Buyers must provide accurate delivery and payment information, use only payment instruments they are authorised to use, not abuse the returns/refund or dispute processes, and take reasonable delivery of ordered goods. 8. Affiliate and promotional conduct Affiliates must promote the Platform honestly, must not use spam, misleading claims, cookie-stuffing, incentivised fraud, self-referrals, or unauthorised use of our brand, and must disclose their affiliate relationship where required by law. 9. Payments, escrow, and financial integrity 1. All marketplace transactions must be completed through the Platform's approved payment channels. 2. Vendor and delivery earnings are held and released only in accordance with our order-settlement (escrow) process; you must not attempt to circumvent it. 3. You must not use the Platform to launder money, finance illegal activity, process transactions on behalf of undisclosed third parties, or engage in chargeback or refund fraud. 4. We may hold, delay, or reverse funds where we reasonably suspect fraud, error, dispute, or breach of this AUP or applicable law. 10. Content and intellectual property You retain rights to content you submit but grant us a licence to host and display it to operate the Platform.
